Community Health Systems 111-001 Admin Asst, Billing and Charge Specialist - OR - Part Time - Days in Tucson, Arizona


The AdministrativeAssistant provides Billing and Charge specific administrative support servicesfor the Surgical Services department.

  • Enters purchase orders accurately in a timely manner.

  • Writes charges and check requests for purchased services.

  • Collects and maintains statistical data.

  • Requisitions supplies and prepares related forms. Keeps stock inventories.

  • Plans and organizes office functions and routines in consultation with unit or department management. Develops processes and procedures. May lead or supervise clerical staff.

  • Types memos, minutes, letters, forms, procedures, and other documents as directed, performs data entry, compiles statistics and reports, using computer applications or databases.

  • Completes payroll accurately and maintains payroll records. Processes bimonthly payroll for final submittal.

  • Maintains the computer-based tracking system and compiles the required reports, statistics and records.

  • Completes Charge Reconciliation accurately in a timely manner. Demonstrates proficiency at hospital wide and/or department specific computer software and technology.

  • Performs other job duties relevant to the position as assigned.



High Schooldiploma/GED preferred or equivalent experiencerequired.


Four (4) years ofadministrative support experience.


Answer Telephones,Compose letters/memorandums, Develop office procedures, Establish filingsystems, Input data into computer programs, Maintain filing systems, Scheduleappointments. Typing of 60 words perminute.
