Job Description : Requires calibrating, adjusting, cleaning and making minor repairs to mechanical, electromechanical, pneumatic and optical measuring equipment, media of inspection and new design gauging. Performs mechanical calibration of measurement tools and test positions. Performs the inspection of tools, gages, special purpose machines, machine tools, engineering test equipment, production test positions, molds, dies, jigs, fixtures, assemblies and templates to fulfill manufacturing quality requirements. Performs the mechanical inspection on all engineering material/equipment fabricated to company drawings to fulfill engineering quality requirements. Required Skills : Four (4) years recent experience in a metrology occupation Ability to calibrate mechanical, electromechanical, optical, etc., measuring equipment Ability to work from blueprints, photos, schematics, work orders, stock orders, military specifications, federal and engineering specifications, manufacturers’ manuals, special design prints and verbal and/or written instructions and sketches Must pass qualifying and/or practical test. Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
