Material Program Manager needed to support the NAMD Program efforts in Tucson, AZ by developing and participating in program level supply chain strategies and plans, and ensuring the placement and receipt of material requirements to those strategies and plans are in support of program requirements. This individual is the liaison between the program office, engineering, operations and the Supply Chain organization in ensuring that the program requirements are being met. The successful candidate will have supply chain and production control experience and exhibit strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively across the organization. This position can be a Principal Material Program Mgr – G09 or a Senior Principal Material Program Mgr – G10 based on the candidate’s qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for this position. Responsibilities include but not be limited to: developing material strategies, preparing and executing Material Program Plan (MPP); working closely with production control, operations, procurement and technology councils to ensure purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and supplier deliveries meet program demand; identifying and mitigating program risks as they pertain to material requirements through root cause/corrective action; manage material financials, sales, cash flow and EACs; work closely with program proposal team and supplier managers to develop material portion of proposals and participate in customer negotiations; support Product Line Reviews, Customer and Supplier Management Reviews, and supplier engagements; resolving Supply Chain issues for the program and participate in R6s projects to drive material efficiencies and increase material affordability for the program. Required Education, Skills & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree i n Business, Finance, Management, Supply Chain, Engineering or similar is required Principal Material Program Manager: at least 6 years of progressive professional experience with a combination of experience in Project, Program, Product, Finance or Supplier Management is required Sr. Principal Material Program Manager: at least 8 years of progressive professional experience with a combination of experience in Project, Program, Product, Finance or Supplier Management is required Ability to obtain a final Secret DoD security clearance Good knowledge of supply chain, material procurement, MRP, production control, material receiving, material estimating, operations and finance. Excellent time management skills and the ability to assign the appropriate priorities to the many tasks that they will be required to perform. Must be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives, and able to interface with all levels of internal management and supplier management. Able to convert customer requirements into procurement requirements for suppliers. Solid professional track record and communication skills, leadership abilities, negotiation skills and the ability to work in an IPT environment are required to perform in this position. Must have a high business acumen and adept at financial analysis This role will be asked to contribute to enterprise initiatives, both in the program and within Supply Chain. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel and Power point) is required Comfortable influencing cross functional teams without direct authority Commitment to obtain MPM certification after experience in the role. U.S. Citizenship Desired Education, Skills & Experience: Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, Management, Supply Chain or similar Material Program Manager certification Active Secret Clearance Must be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives, and able to interface with all levels of internal management, supplier management. Demonstrated experience in cost account management, managing budgets, and managing suppliers to aggressive schedules would be advantageous. Since the communication of information is a key component of this position, good presentation skills will be required in order to keep internal customers, suppliers and the external customer informed Proven knowledge of program contracts and proposals to ensure contract deliverable requirements are incorporated into the material strategy, and program material requirements are solidified into compliant, defendable proposals. Factory and production planning is highly beneficial to support make/buy analysis Must be able to succeed in the high stress, fast paced environment of development. Excellent time management skills and the ability to assign the appropriate priorities to the many tasks that they will be required to perform Familiar with and have an overall knowledge of operating in the International environment, ITAR and EX/IM (Export/Import) requirements, processes and skills that support international business Security Clearance: This position requires the successful issuance, transfer or maintenance of a Secret security Clearance.
