AMS (Advanced Missile Systems) Business Office has an immediate opening for a Principal Financial Analyst, with a focus on Earned Value and reporting. The AMS product line develops cutting edge technologies and next generation products for the business. AMS PL Business provides a dynamic and fast paced environment. This role will provide the opportunity to increase exposure to multiple facets of not only the finance organization but also RMS’ strategic endeavors. The Finance team is made up of a dedicated group of four direct reporting analysts who support a robust portfolio of pursuits from “womb to tomb”. Primary duties are outlined below but not limited to the following: Contract Management & Execution: This position will be responsible for daily business and financial activities for a number of programs within the AMS PL that includes (Minor, Small and Watch). The individual will work closely with the Finance Manager and partner with the Program Team to contribute to the successful execution of contracts by providing critical financial oversight and guidance that includes developing, presenting and defending quarterly Estimates at Completion (EACs) and Manpower forecasts. In addition, they will have oversight to an Earned Value Management (EVMS) program that includes implementation and Maintenance, CDRL delivery, Quarterly Estimate-at-Completion (EAC), monthly LREs. As the CFO of the contracts supported, a critical role will include providing internal financial planning (sales, profit, and cash forecast) and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all financial information for the programs. This includes 5-Year Plan Development and Maintenance. New Business Investing Management – The Principal Financial Analyst will be responsible for all financial budgeting, reporting and oversight of a Directorate’s New Business Investment (NBI) working independently with PL Directors on budget development, project approvals, and forecast maintenance. As investment decisions are being made, utilizing ROI and business case analysis tools will be used to assist in making critical decisions to sustain Directorate growth. Internal Customer Interfacing – The employee selected for this role will function as the primary interface to an AMS PL Director and will help them run the business of that Organization. The practice of ‘Acting like an Entrepreneur’ is key in execution of this position. They will support all yearly Directorate specific deliverables of Financial Data from creating the Directorate 5 Year Plan to helping finalize the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and related forecasts. Top candidates will raise the performance levels of less senior analysts and provide the organizations they support with timely and thorough qualitative analysis that supports business, program, and project decision making. Minimum Required Skills : Ability to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance 6 years experience in a finance or business management role, Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or business management and proven ability to: Strong understanding of Earned Value Management Principles and Processes including CPR development, audit/surveillance, PMX Tool Suite and EVMS implementation Knowledge in application of MPM, APEX EV and wlnsight Contribute to development of new concepts, techniques or standards Perform work without appreciable direction Develop solutions to complex problems Serve as consultant to management Superior analytical skills Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, graphing, etc.) Highly Desired Skills : Current DOD Secret Security Clearance.
